Role Overview

Join the diverse hospitality team at Armani Caffè as a Dishwasher, where you'll play an essential role in ensuring a pristine and efficient environment that supports the exceptional guest experience synonymous with the Giorgio Armani brand. Your main duties involve cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining an ample supply of dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, equipment, and back-of-house areas to facilitate smooth and elegant service.

Key Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashing machinery effectively and safely.
• Sort, wash, and replenish serviceware and cookware to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Uphold sanitation practices including waste disposal, chemical handling, and equipment cleaning.
• Assist in opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning and organizational tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate closely with culinary and front-of-house teams to support seamless caffè operations.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Previous experience in dishwashing, stewarding, or similar roles in high-volume hospitality settings is preferred.
• FoodSafe Level 1 or comparable certification is preferred and must be maintained according to job requirements.
• Knowledge of commercial dishwashing processes, sanitation, food safety, chemical safety, and equipment handling.
• Capability to manage priorities efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, reliability, and organizational skills.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including holidays, mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Multilingual abilities (Italian, Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.) are a plus but not mandatory.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

• Constant standing and walking within kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs such as racks, cookware, and waste containers.
• Regular pushing and pulling of carts, equipment, and shelving.
• Occasional use of stairs and ladders.
• Frequent reaching above and below shoulder height.
• Fine motor skills for careful handling and operation of equipment.
• Continuous auditory and visual alertness for safety and operational signals.
• Ongoing verbal and written communication to coordinate tasks and escalate safety concerns.
• Ability to organize workflow, manage multiple tasks, and maintain precision in sanitation and safety.
