About the Role
Mex 1 Coastal Cantina is seeking a dedicated and dependable Dishwasher to strengthen our kitchen team at our family-friendly restaurant locations in Charleston, SC, including West Ashley, Sullivan’s Island, and Mount Pleasant. This position requires working efficiently in a lively, fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high cleanliness and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans promptly and thoroughly
- Ensure the dishwashing area remains tidy and well-organized at all times
- Help with basic kitchen preparation tasks and general cleaning duties as needed
- Manage waste removal and uphold sanitation protocols to maintain a hygienic workspace
- Provide support to kitchen staff during peak service times
Requirements
- Capability to work effectively in a fast-moving kitchen environment
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dependability
- Collaborate well within a team setting
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work on weekends and evenings is preferred
