Job Overview

The Dishwasher role is integral to maintaining rigorous cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This position supports kitchen efficiency by ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and organized, aiding kitchen staff in their daily tasks, and sustaining a clean working space.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines and manually clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware.
• Ensure all items are properly cleaned, sanitized, dried, and stored.
• Maintain an orderly and sanitary dishwashing workspace, including waste disposal and recycling management.
• Provide clean equipment and utensils to kitchen personnel as required.
• Assist with food preparation and perform other kitchen-related duties as delegated by chefs or supervisors.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report equipment issues or maintenance needs.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and sanitation protocols including proper chemical handling.
• Comply with food safety standards and related regulatory guidelines.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces and appliances.
• Help organize and store kitchen supplies and tools appropriately.
• Contribute positively to team dynamics, support coworkers, and foster excellent member and guest service experiences.
• Handle member and guest complaints professionally, escalating issues as necessary.
• Undertake additional assignments from management to ensure club operations run smoothly.

Additional Duties

• Volunteer to assist various departments as needed, adapting to the club's dynamic environment.
• Follow all club and company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
• Maintain professionalism and uphold the club’s standards in all interactions.
• Practice and encourage safe working habits, complying with safety regulations.
• Pursue ongoing personal and professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
• Engage in problem-solving by liaising with regional and corporate teams to support club activities.
• Participate in daily briefings and remain informed about team objectives.
• Wear a clean, neat uniform in line with club specifications.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Previous experience in dishwashing or kitchen support is preferred.
• Good communication skills and the ability to accurately follow instructions.

Physical and Environmental Conditions

• Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical labor for extended durations.
• Comfortable working in variable temperature settings and exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
• Able to perform movements such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, twisting, bending, and folding.
• Can occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 100 lbs.
• Effective communication abilities including verbal and hearing skills and adequate vision.

Primary Equipment Used

• Dishwasher machine
• Kitchen knives weighing between 1-5 lbs.
• Pots, pans, and food containers weighing 5-50 lbs.
• Mop and mop bucket weighing 5-20 lbs.
• Trash cans weighing 10-50 lbs.

Work Schedule

• Expected to adhere to weekly attendance schedules.
• Additional work hours may be required, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational deadlines.
