Role Overview

The Dishwasher is accountable for operating dishwashing machinery and maintaining cleanliness in the dishwashing area. This role includes cleaning all dishes, utensils, and food prep tools reliably according to health and company regulations, aiding kitchen and service staff with cleaning duties in the kitchen, food prep, and service zones.

Additionally, in the Dietary Aide capacity, this position involves delivering meals to residents either at dining tables or their apartments, ensuring satisfaction with menu items, providing drinks and refills, and offering condiments or other requested items. The role requires bussing tables, changing linens, resetting tables after meals, serving beverages, and preparing tables before meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines effectively to clean dishes, glassware, trays, silverware, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain service standards by ensuring all cleaned items meet dining service requirements.
• Set up and clean the dish machine area, including checking temperatures and soap levels.
• Serve beverages according to resident preferences as they are seated for meals.
• Assist meal service by serving courses sequentially, clearing soiled dishes from previous courses before serving the next.

Role Requirements

• Compliance with all state-mandated health requirements.
• Possession of a valid Food Handler’s card if applicable.
• Commitment to upholding the philosophy that respects dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
