Dishwasher

Role Overview

As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchenware including dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils. Your duties also involve keeping the kitchen and work environments orderly and sanitary.

Key Duties

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchenware using designated equipment and protocols.
• Polish silverware with equipment such as burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and cloths as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe operational condition of dishwashing and kitchen equipment.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and food preparation areas.
• Handle waste disposal by removing trash, placing it in appropriate containers, and cleaning garbage bins with steam or hoses.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving supplies and equipment between storage and kitchen areas.
• Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in dishwashing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with industrial washing machines is an asset.
• Capability to maintain performance under pressure.
• Physical aptitude to fulfill the position’s tasks.
