About the Role and Company

Bon Appétit Management Company is currently recruiting for a full-time Dishwasher position based at the University of Northwestern in Roseville, MN. The company operates over 1,000 cafés nationwide, focusing on socially and environmentally responsible sourcing and fresh, locally prepared food.

Work Schedule and Location

The work schedule is full-time with varied daytime shifts from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, including mandatory weekend availability. The address is 3003 Snelling Avenue North, Roseville, MN 55113. Applications are accepted online only.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Scraping, rinsing, and washing dishes, pots, and pans either by hand or using dishwashing machines, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Cleaning and polishing silverware using equipment like burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths to maintain sanitation standards.
• Monitoring and maintaining proper temperatures and chemical levels according to safety guidelines.
• Upholding cleanliness and order in dishwashing and kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
• Cleaning surfaces such as worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks used for food preparation.
• Managing trash disposal, including steaming and hosing out garbage containers.
• Handling the transfer and organization of supplies and equipment between storage and operating areas.
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.
• Performing any additional duties assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous experience in kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must have the ability to perform all essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an hourly wage of $17.00.
