Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support to participants with disabilities, aiding in their daily activities and personal development.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of individuals, applying appropriate manual handling techniques including hoist transfers.
• Adhere to organizational policies and maintain clear communication about participant needs and progress.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through available training programs.

Essential Requirements

• Certification in Aged Care, Disability Support, Individual Support, or Nursing.
• Manual handling training with proficiency in hoist operations.
• Possession of a valid driver's license accompanied by a reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check completed or readiness to acquire one.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia, intellectual disabilities, and epilepsy, especially those requiring complex support.
