Director, VisionNext Infrastructure & Reliability

Overview

Become a part of Fiserv, a global Fintech and payments leader that facilitates financial transactions worldwide seamlessly and securely. As the Director for VisionNext Infrastructure & Reliability, you will guide the global infrastructure strategy for VisionNext, our expanding financial services platform, collaborating with teams worldwide to develop reusable infrastructure blueprints, operational standards, and models.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the infrastructure vision, managing a global team to implement standards and capabilities.
• Design and deploy AWS multi-region resilience solutions tailored to business and client recovery objectives such as RTO and RPO, including active/passive and active/active configurations where justified.
• Collaborate with regional operational teams to create repeatable deployment patterns for both dedicated and shared VisionNext environments with well-defined processes.
• Manage the advancement towards Azure cloud deployment, leveraging experience in both AWS and Azure environments.
• Implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), reliability frameworks, and observability practices to enhance production stability and recovery readiness.
• Standardize connectivity methods for financial schemes (Visa, Mastercard), service providers, and client systems, adapting to regional requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven senior leadership in building infrastructure or platform engineering teams with ability to influence regional partners.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS production environments, with particular expertise in multi-region resilience and disaster recovery.
• Demonstrated capability delivering production infrastructure on AWS and experience with other cloud providers like Azure.
• Strong ability to convert RTO/RPO business needs into practical, tested recovery solutions.
• Expertise in cloud networking, Kubernetes or equivalent platforms, infrastructure as code methodologies, and maintaining secure operations.
• Experience establishing reusable infrastructure standards, SRE culture, reliability processes, and improving observability across teams.

Desirable Attributes

• Knowledge of the payments industry or financial services sector.
• Experience with complex scheme/provider/client connectivity and managing both dedicated and shared deployments.
• Familiarity with additional cloud service providers.
