Position Overview
As Director of UX, you will lead an international UX organization, steering an AI-driven transformation and delivering business value through design excellence across a growing portfolio of AI-native products. This role demands strategic leadership, partnership with top executives, and a focus on user-centered design quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and transform a global UX team using AI-driven design approaches to maximize business impact across the expanding AI-focused product range.
- Define and execute a UX vision and strategy for a distributed team across Europe and India.
- Act as Head of UX and strategic advisor to VP and C-level executives by aligning UX strategy with product, technology, and business goals, advocating user-focused design company-wide.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality user experiences by collaborating closely with product management, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Build, inspire, and develop a high-performing UX team and design leadership through recruitment, coaching, and career development.
- Design and scale efficient structures to improve design operations and promote AI-native workflows.
- Manage capacity and workforce planning within the UX team to support forecasting, prioritization, investment decisions, and leadership reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of professional experience in UX, Product Design, or related disciplines, including at least 5 years in senior leadership with responsibility for managing distributed international teams.
- Proven strong people leadership abilities with enthusiasm for team building and talent development, establishing clear growth pathways.
- Product-focused mindset with experience ideally gained within complex B2B software or supply chain sectors.
- Track record of building or transforming UX organizations across multiple products or teams.
- Experience with or deep understanding of AI-driven and agentic product experiences.
- Capability to convert product and business strategies into actionable UX directions.
- Strategic and decisive leader possessing excellent stakeholder management and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Willingness to undertake regular business travel to Berlin and Bangalore.
