Role Overview

We are searching for a seasoned technical leader to drive the design, development, integration, and testing of cutting-edge services and platforms. This role entails leading software development managers and engineers, owning technical strategy and architecture, mentoring the team, and ensuring operational excellence and high system availability. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and manage both in-house and outsourced development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-achieving engineering team within a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure regular and reliable delivery of new digital features across web and mobile platforms, focusing on application scalability, quality, and development speed.
• Adapt and implement suitable development methodologies, including agile and hybrid approaches, coordinating efforts across partners, vendors, and internal teams.
• Scale digital solutions to support millions of daily users effectively.
• Provide accurate and succinct project updates to executive leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement complex product features.
• Identify potential bottlenecks, manage escalations, balance business objectives with technical constraints, and make informed trade-offs.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Partner with product management to advance product development processes continuously.
• Attract, recruit, and retain exceptional development talent.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in a Director-level position, ideally within an eCommerce environment.
• Experience in Digital Health sector is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Deep understanding of cloud technology stacks and microservices architectures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of agile principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with retail industry dynamics related to eCommerce.
• Solid grasp of front-end and back-end technologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication across all organizational levels and cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership skills to foster ownership and decisive action among large development groups.
• Track record in identifying and nurturing high-performance teams.
• Hands-on technologist passionate about software quality and sustainable architecture.
• Ability to influence stakeholders confidently and decisively.
• Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $170,000 to $220,000, adjusted according to experience and geographic location. This employer uses artificial intelligence tools in its recruitment process.
