Role Overview
The Director, Product Marketing will strategically oversee the commercialization and growth of media and advertising products. This leadership role connects customer needs, product strategy, and business goals to launch innovative retail media solutions and guide a high-performing team focused on product positioning, go-to-market plans, sales enablement, competitive intelligence, and driving adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate product vision, customer feedback, and business objectives into clear commercialization strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Develop compelling positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to advertisers, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with Product Management to influence roadmap priorities using market intelligence and competitive insights.
- Define market fit through target audiences, customer segmentation, and growth opportunities informed by industry and customer data.
- Lead all phases of product launches, integrating teams across product, sales, analytics, and marketing for aligned objectives.
- Formulate product adoption strategies to boost customer engagement and revenue growth.
- Work with Revenue Management on pricing, packaging, and commercialization tactics to maximize opportunities.
- Develop sales enablement resources including narratives, playbooks, presentations, and training to enhance commercial team effectiveness.
- Oversee market research initiatives to track customer needs, trends, and competitor activity in retail media, advertising technology, and consumer behavior.
- Cultivate a customer-centric culture within the product marketing organization.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a team focused on innovation, excellence, and business impact, fostering collaboration and leadership growth.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics to drive accountability and results.
- Define and monitor KPIs related to product adoption, revenue, pipeline contribution, and customer engagement.
- Analyze launch results and go-to-market success to identify areas for improvement.
Candidate Profile
- 8 to 12+ years in strategic product marketing leadership, with experience developing and growing high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in product positioning, messaging, and growth strategies for complex products and solutions.
- Deep understanding of media, advertising technology, retail media, data analytics, or consumer packaged goods sectors.
- Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex concepts into compelling value propositions.
- Track record influencing senior leaders and aligning diverse stakeholders around strategic priorities.
- Proficiency in analytical and strategic thinking, turning insights into actionable plans.
- Experience leading product launches, sales enablement, and adoption strategies at scale.
- Ability to combine long-term strategic planning with effective execution in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Coda, Jira, and other product marketing platforms is advantageous.
