Director - Procurement - Residential Projects

About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for an accomplished Procurement Director to oversee procurement operations within its residential projects division. This leadership position demands strategic management of procurement functions to secure superior materials and services, optimize costs, and ensure strict adherence to corporate and regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate, execute, and oversee procurement strategies that align with the goals of residential projects.
• Manage all procurement phases including planning, sourcing, negotiation of contracts, and supplier management.
• Collaborate closely with project groups and other internal teams to predict procurement requirements and guarantee prompt delivery schedules.
• Implement ongoing improvements to procurement workflows to boost efficiency, mitigate risks, and maximize value.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and initiatives like sustainability and local content rules.
• Lead and develop the procurement team to reach high operational standards and foster career growth.
• Track market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and leverage innovations to identify new opportunities.
• Prepare and communicate procurement reports and key performance indicators to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Champion ethical sourcing practices and corporate social responsibility in all procurement activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 to 15 years of progressively responsible procurement experience, ideally in large-scale residential construction or real estate sectors.
• Proven proficiency in developing and executing procurement strategies.
• Strong capabilities in negotiation and management of complex supplier contracts.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with procurement software and data analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of local content laws and sustainability programs is advantageous.
• Fluent English is required; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
