Job description
Role Overview
The Director leads credit rating committees independently, focusing on the assignment and occasional monitoring of structured finance ratings. This role involves analyzing complex structured finance deals, developing and maintaining credit rating methodologies, and producing detailed credit research within the structured finance sector. A key aspect is mentoring junior analysts and supporting their development. The Director also engages in operational review visits and participates in meetings and calls with investors, issuers, and arrangers, representing the company professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the enhancement of analytical capabilities and methodology development for structured finance at Scope.
- Serve as lead analyst for the evaluation and credit rating assignment of diverse structured finance instruments.
- Mentor junior team members to share expertise and boost team productivity.
- Occasionally act as the liaison with clients, explaining methodologies and analytics.
- Engage in professional discussions and presentations with clients, investors, media, and market participants.
- Create timely, high-quality, insightful, and forward-looking research and analytical commentary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of seven years' professional experience in structured finance or related areas.
- Master's degree in finance, banking, economics, statistics, mathematics, or an equivalent field.
- Strong analytical acumen with a solid grasp of financial markets and credit principles.
- Deep expertise in structured finance sectors and geographic markets, including asset, counterparty, structural analysis, cash flow modeling, and documentation review.
- Familiarity with securitisation legal frameworks across major European jurisdictions and understanding of European banking regulatory environments.
- Proficient in quantitative tools essential for structured finance transaction analysis.
- Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Multicultural, proactive, adaptable, curious, and detail-focused personality.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines while motivating team members to maintain productivity.
- Fluency in English and at least one other major language.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers a salary range of 106,000 to 146,000 EUR annually for Directors in Structured Finance. Bonuses may be contractual or discretionary. The company provides an extensive benefits package. The precise salary will depend on individual qualifications, experience, and seniority, finalized during the recruitment process.
