About the Role

The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) is searching for an experienced Director of Data & Analytics to spearhead the transformation of its data function. This role focuses on evolving from classic reporting methods to advanced, AI-supported decision intelligence, shaping data-driven governance for one of the most rapidly expanding tourist destinations in the region.

The appointed leader will revolutionize how data powers organizational strategies, creating a top-tier analytics capability crucial for directing tourism strategies, guiding major investments, and supporting sustainable development in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

Key Duties

• Orchestrating a multi-year overhaul of RAKTDA's data and analytics capabilities, elevating overall maturity.
• Recruiting and managing high-achieving teams spanning analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, and market research.
• Designing progressive data platforms alongside predictive and AI-driven analytical models and forecasting tools.
• Implementing comprehensive data governance, KPI structures, and reporting standards organization-wide.
• Providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations to executive leadership, the board, and government entities.
• Forging collaborations with eminent data providers, tech partners, and stakeholders to enhance tourism intelligence throughout the Emirate.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive leadership experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
• Proven success in steering large-scale data modernization projects focused on transforming traditional reporting into predictive, prescriptive, and AI-driven decision-making.
• In-depth skills in advanced analytics, data platforms, forecasting, machine learning, and visualization techniques.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with effectiveness in influencing executive and government stakeholders.
• Prior experience in sectors such as tourism, hospitality, aviation, or economic development highly preferred.
