Director of Data & Analytics

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Director of Data & Analytics to guide our organization's data-driven transformation in Dubai. This executive position will focus on crafting a comprehensive data strategy, overseeing analytics projects, and leading teams that convert complex data into strategic business outcomes. The role offers an opportunity to influence critical business decisions by harnessing advanced data and technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the organization’s overarching data and analytics strategy.
• Lead initiatives involving data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, and data science projects.
• Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing data and analytics teams.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to convert business challenges into effective data-driven solutions.
• Set standards for data governance, quality control, security, and overall data management.
• Supervise the design and maintenance of dashboards, reporting infrastructures, and advanced analytical capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance business performance by leveraging AI, automation, and predictive analytics.
• Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators related to data and analytics.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with technology partners and external data service providers.
• Foster a strong culture that values data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
• Between 8 to 12+ years of experience in data, analytics, business intelligence, or related technology sectors.
• Proven senior leadership experience in managing data and analytics teams.
• Comprehensive knowledge of data strategy, governance frameworks, visualization tools, and analytics platforms.
• Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and business intelligence technologies.
• Strong business insight with the capability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC region is considered advantageous.
