Job description
Role Purpose
This position is focused on devising and implementing sales approaches to attract new clients, nurture and expand existing client relationships, and meet financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain strong client relationships by understanding their financial goals and needs.
- Tailor and deliver presentations of financial products and services that meet client requirements.
- Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure efficient processing of client requests.
- Keep abreast of market developments, financial instruments, and regulatory changes.
- Work collaboratively with research analysts and other teams to furnish clients with timely market insights and updates.
- Negotiate terms and finalize sales agreements with clients.
Director-Level Expectations
- Oversee a business function and contribute significantly to strategic initiatives across the function; influence policy and manage complex, critical strategic projects potentially affecting the entire business.
- Lead large teams or sub-functions by guiding other managers, fostering a high-performance culture consistent with company values; alternatively, serve as a recognized expert and thought leader on organization-wide projects.
- Provide expert counsel to senior management and committees to shape decisions beyond own function, playing a strategic role in organizational initiatives.
- Manage resource allocation, budgeting, and policy development for major sub-functions.
- Escalate any policy or procedural violations appropriately and promote adherence to compliance regulations aligned with internal processes.
- Engage with external environments such as regulators and advocacy groups to monitor and potentially advocate on behalf of the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, sector developments, and how the function integrates with the broader business objectives.
- Apply advanced analytical and interpretative skills to resolve complex or delicate challenges and create innovative solutions.
- Hold decision-making authority for significant operational and strategic choices within the domain.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Serve as the primary contact for key clients and interfacing departments or business units.
- Represent the function and the business division as the designated spokesperson.
