- Lead and manage the global bid management team, ensuring roles, standards, priorities, and working methods are consistently implemented worldwide.
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement Directors to assess support requests, manage capacity, allocate resources, and resolve prioritization conflicts.
- Develop team capability by coaching, creating development plans, aligning skills matrices, and managing progression paths.
- Oversee bid team workload, prioritization, and utilization in partnership with sales leadership, maintaining transparency with performance metrics.
- Establish and enforce bid management best practices across all stages from planning through submission and lessons learned.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance consistency, efficiency, and quality in bid deliveries, including tools and collaboration methods.
- Maintain operational governance through regular reviews, risk escalation protocols, resource planning, and improvement tracking.
- Engage with stakeholders across commercial, sales enablement, client engagement, and offshore teams to align efforts with business priorities.
- Identify and address risks related to capacity, quality, and timelines proactively with clear escalation and mitigation plans.
- Promote effective use of sales enablement tools, content libraries, AI-supported workflows, and collaboration platforms within the team.
- Foster a disciplined, service-focused culture that balances responsiveness and quality, preserves team capacity, and continually raises pursuit support standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in bid management, proposal management, sales enablement, or pursuit support in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Hands-on experience managing teams across multiple regions, preferably with global exposure.
- Proven success leading distributed teams, including onshore and offshore models.
- Experience implementing AI-driven tools or innovative technologies to improve workflows and outputs.
- Deep understanding of bid lifecycle processes including RFx response management, planning, content development, quality control, and submission readiness.
- Competency in managing team capacity, prioritizing workloads, utilization rates, and escalations amid competing business goals.
- Ability to translate capability frameworks and skills matrices into actionable role definitions, development plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong operational management skills to introduce structure, consistency, and accountability without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Excellent stakeholder management with senior leadership in sales enablement, solutions, client engagement, and offshore teams.
- Proven coaching aptitude to enhance team capabilities, close gaps, and build confidence across role levels.
- Skilled in leveraging insights, workload data, feedback, and lessons learned to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Strong communication skills for clear transmission of expectations, status, risks, and priorities.
- Familiarity with sales enablement platforms, content management systems, CRM data management, collaboration tools, and AI-supported bid workflows.
- Sound judgment to balance client responsiveness, team capacity, quality standards, and commercial urgency.
