Job description
About the Role
We are collaborating with a government-supported Investment Group based in Abu Dhabi to recruit a Director for Executive Operations & PMO within the Group CEO's office. This is a newly created position that carries significant influence and a distinct mandate.
As part of one of the senior-most departments, you will work closely with the Chief of Staff, spearheading strategic initiatives by interpreting executive objectives, designing structured plans, and ensuring delivery throughout the group.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from initial open-ended briefs through to planning and execution.
- Convert senior leadership goals into specific, measurable objectives and milestones.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support planning and informed decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various functions on a project basis to foster alignment and accountability.
- Create polished presentations and briefing documents for the Group CEO's office.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to the Chief of Staff, anticipating needs and working with agility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 12 years of experience in strategic initiatives, transformation, business management, or project delivery.
- Work history within financial services, investment banking, private equity, or experience in a CEO office or strategic initiatives role spanning multiple business divisions.
- A proven track record of personally driving initiatives to completion, beyond simply advising.
- Experience engaging with senior executives and managing complex, cross-functional programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, public policy, or related disciplines; MBA highly preferred.
- Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or PMP are advantageous.
- Experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is a significant asset, especially when paired with international exposure.
- Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi is essential.
