Role Overview

The Provider Growth Analytics team collaborates with stakeholders across Optum to accelerate growth by harnessing data insights, advanced analytics, and AI innovation. As Director of Data Analytics for Provider Growth, you will lead a prominent portfolio focused on delivering strategic analytics, driving AI-enabled solutions, and partnering with senior leaders to unlock new growth opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the analytics strategy to support Provider Growth objectives.
• Create and manage a scalable analytics operating framework that fosters innovation and excellence.
• Own and prioritize the Provider Growth analytics roadmap aligning with organizational goals.
• Identify opportunities leveraging analytics and AI to enhance growth and inform business decisions.
• Design analytics solutions for provider targeting, market prioritization, client segmentation, campaign optimization, and opportunity identification.
• Translate complex challenges into practical analytical insights to improve stakeholder decision-making.
• Promote the adoption of insights, measuring and communicating their business impact.
• Lead AI and advanced analytics adoption, product design, governance, and deployment.
• Collaborate with technology and architecture teams to develop scalable data and AI capabilities on modern cloud platforms.
• Advocate for responsible AI practices and ensure enterprise governance compliance.
• Own delivery and enhancement of strategic analytics products supporting growth and commercial success.
• Develop self-service analytics tools and insight delivery mechanisms.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of analytics professionals across various disciplines.
• Build a culture centered on innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
• Establish career development pathways and succession plans within the team.
• Form strong partnerships with senior leaders across Growth, Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, and Analytics.
• Present executive audiences with data-driven insights and influence strategic decision-making.
• Ensure operational excellence, managing priorities, resources, budgets, and governance.
• Implement best practices for analytics development, quality, and sustainability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields.
• Demonstrated leadership of analytics teams and management of complex analytics programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving business, technology, and analytics partners.
• Proven track record building and scaling analytics capabilities and operating models.
• Strong influence and communication skills with senior and executive stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in modern analytics platforms and cloud technologies including Snowflake, Azure, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and GitHub.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the healthcare sector.
• Background supporting growth, sales, marketing, provider, or customer analytics functions.
• Hands-on experience delivering AI, machine learning, or agentic AI initiatives.
• Management experience leading analytics product teams.
• Expertise in cloud-native data platforms and enterprise-grade analytics environments.
• Successful leadership of organizational change driven by data and AI innovation.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, organizational, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Additional Information

Candidates must have valid and unrestricted authorization to work permanently in the Republic of Ireland; proof of eligibility will be required.
