Job description
Role Overview
The Director of Corporate Development at Alat plays a pivotal role in spearheading the evaluation and realization of strategic investments, partnerships, and transactions that align with the company's growth plans. This position requires managing the entire deal process from identifying opportunities to closing transactions, collaborating closely with senior leadership, various business units, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Recognize, evaluate, and prioritize strategic investment and partnership opportunities.
- Lead feasibility studies, financial modeling, valuation, deal structuring, and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare comprehensive business cases, investment proposals, and transaction documents for senior management and approval bodies.
- Oversee financial, commercial, legal, technical, and operational due diligence by coordinating with internal departments and external consultants.
- Manage transaction timelines, identifying and mitigating key risks and dependencies throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Facilitate alignment among business units, functional teams, and external collaborators to ensure effective transaction execution.
- Support governance processes, transaction approvals, documentation, and final closing activities.
- Contribute to formulating Alat’s overarching corporate development strategy and long-term growth objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- An advanced degree such as a Master’s or MBA is preferred.
- Between 8 to 11 years of professional experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, investments, private equity, or investment banking.
- Proven expertise in transaction execution, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiations.
- Strong skills in managing executive stakeholders and effective communication at senior levels.
