Digital Security - Senior Managing Consultant

Introduction

The Senior Managing Consultant for Digital Security will take charge of building client relationships, designing, and implementing digital security solutions within Saudi Arabia. This role demands expertise in cloud-native and hybrid or third-party security measures, coupled with demonstrated leadership and delivery capability.

The focus lies on enabling clients' transformation in cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), and securing cloud workloads across private, public, hybrid, and multi-cloud deployments utilizing major hyperscalers such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all phases of delivering digital security solutions from engagement start to finish.
• Conduct workshops, presentations, develop high-quality deliverables, and manage large-scale delivery projects.
• Provide leadership across solutions, advise technical teams, align client requirements with IBM’s solutions.
• Design and present Cloud & Data Security, IAM proposals addressing administrative, operational, or technical needs.
• Collaborate in crafting solutions tailored to client requirements.
• Evaluate client’s digital security posture, considering risk, legal, regulatory, and compliance contexts.
• Clarify functional and non-functional requirements for solutions.
• Support client teams in responding effectively to proposals.
• Possess deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, security deployments and delivery blueprints for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS models across hyperscalers.
• Apply agile methodologies and automation, emphasizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security strategies.
• Coordinate with global and local teams ensuring effective project delivery.
• Address program challenges in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Maintain broad understanding of cloud architecture and recognized industry standards.
• Develop and nurture strong client partnerships for advancing Security Services offerings.
• Contribute to security practice content and capability development efforts.
• Support establishment of skills models and foster domain expertise within teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Certifications including at least one cloud hyperscaler certification and a major security accreditation such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are essential.
• Experience working with relevant industry compliance and security standards like KSA NCA ECC, CSA CSM, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Proven ability to conduct security architecture reviews using Zero Trust Security concepts, identifying vulnerabilities and reporting findings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of security technologies including IAM, data protection, and cloud security.
• Experience preparing detailed security design documentation.
• Practical experience with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), infrastructure, and technologies.
• Familiarity with standards such as KSA NCA ECC and cloud-related regulations like ISO/IEC 27018.
• Strong track record delivering large-scale, complex, multi-year security transformations in roles like cloud security architect or senior delivery lead.
• Skill in working with multicultural, multidisciplinary teams to facilitate solutions.
• Willingness to travel between 25% and 50% as project demands.
• Minimum 5 years of international experience in hybrid/multi-cloud security engagements.
• At least 8 years in security consulting or architecture roles.
• A cumulative 10+ years of experience spanning IT and cybersecurity disciplines.
• Fluent English communication skills.
