Role Summary

As a Digital Forensics Examiner, you will operate within a technologically advanced team, aiding the Home Team by extracting crucial electronic evidence for criminal investigations. Your work in digital forensics will help trace suspects and collect evidence vital for prosecution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in criminal probes by managing the seizure and forensic examination of digital devices to recover important electronic evidence.
• Conduct digital forensic investigations involving extensive datasets from diverse sources, operating systems, and network environments.
• Analyze complex and proprietary operating systems, software applications, and internet platforms.
• Monitor emerging trends in digital and information forensics and develop strategies to boost operational effectiveness in response to evolving challenges.
• Carry out additional digital forensic duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a tertiary education degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in electronic hardware, programming/scripting languages, and cloud technologies is advantageous.
• Self-driven with the ability to perform independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Exhibit strong analytical thinking and effective communication skills.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will receive appropriate training and be engaged initially on a two-year contract basis.
