Job description
Position Summary
We are actively recruiting a skilled Diagnostic and/or Interventional Radiologist to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. This permanent role involves providing top-tier imaging and procedural services in various clinical environments including acute, elective, inpatient, and outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Expertly interpret and report diagnostic imaging modalities such as CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and plain radiography.
- Conduct and provide analysis of interventional radiology procedures where applicable, based on specialty focus and service demands.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team discussions to aid clinical decisions and optimize patient outcomes.
- Support diagnostic services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, including participation in on-call or after-hours reporting.
- Ensure all radiological reports are accurate, delivered promptly, and meet established standards and patient safety protocols.
- Participate actively in quality assurance initiatives, clinical audits, governance efforts, and continuous service enhancements.
- Collaborate effectively with radiology peers, referring physicians, clinical teams, and support personnel to streamline delivery of quality imaging services.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be eligible to register with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Hold a Fellowship or an equivalent recognized specialist qualification in Radiology (e.g., FRANZCR or international equivalent).
- Proven experience in diagnostic and/or interventional radiology tailored to the role’s scope.
- Excellent communication skills combined with strong clinical judgment and teamwork abilities.
- Dedicated to maintaining high standards of patient-centered care and accuracy in reporting.
- Comfortable operating within a multidisciplinary clinical setting with a focus on service quality and improvement.
