Role Overview

The Dewatering and Shoring Manager position is a full-time, on-location role in the Eastern Region. The primary responsibility is to plan, supervise, and enhance dewatering and shoring operations across designated projects. This includes conducting site investigations, designing or reviewing relevant plans, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and site supervisors to maintain safe and effective ground support and water control.

Daily duties encompass monitoring and adjusting system performance, managing installation and removal schedules, and resolving technical challenges impacting excavation and structural work. The role also involves overseeing crews and subcontractors, ensuring strict compliance with safety and environmental standards, managing costs and resources, and producing progress reports and technical documentation for project leadership. Collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate risks, uphold construction timelines, and comply with company and regulatory standards is essential.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive technical knowledge of dewatering systems, shoring techniques, and deep excavation support, supported by hands-on experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geotechnical analyses, and construction specifications, translating them into practical site plans.
• Proven leadership skills in managing site teams and subcontractors, including task distribution, performance oversight, and coordination with other project areas.
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental laws related to excavation, dewatering, and shoring, with a demonstrated commitment to safe work environments.
• Strong organizational capabilities in project scheduling, resource management, and cost control specific to dewatering and shoring operations.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of preparing detailed technical reports, logs, and documentation for various stakeholders.
• Educational qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; additional construction or safety certifications are advantageous.
• Experience operating within the Eastern Region or similar contexts, including familiarity with local regulations, soil and ground conditions, and construction practices, is beneficial.
