About the Role
Join Hasbro's innovative AI Studio team as a DevOps Engineer, a key member in shaping a revolutionary platform that blends storytelling, technology, and imagination. This position is centered on developing and maintaining foundational systems that transform beloved characters into interactive experiences. The focus is on sustaining and advancing production infrastructure, enabling seamless deployments, and ensuring system robustness as the platform expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines and reusable templates, managing container image builds, caching strategies, automated tests, and deployment promotion across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implement deployment strategies for containerized applications, incorporating health checks and automatic rollback mechanisms triggered by alerting systems.
- Maintain and expand cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools across various AWS accounts, covering container services, managed databases, caching systems, content delivery, and network security controls.
- Develop and refine monitoring and alerting frameworks to proactively detect and address issues before impacting users.
- Enforce strong security practices with least-privilege access, short-lived CI credentials, and managed secrets, supporting responsible AI and data governance standards.
- Support developer tooling and environment orchestration to facilitate autonomous shipping of changes by engineers.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Minimum three years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering, managing live AWS infrastructure used by real customers.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or Pulumi, applying version control and disciplined change management to infrastructure.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications; familiarity with GitLab CI is advantageous.
- Practical knowledge of container orchestration using ECS or Kubernetes and AWS network fundamentals including VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, and DNS.
- Competence in scripting or automation using Python or TypeScript.
- Hands-on use of monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms to ensure platform health.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment, contributing to process improvements and documentation of operational runbooks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in zero-downtime deployments featuring automatic rollback capabilities.
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
- Understanding of real-time media infrastructure technologies such as WebRTC or LiveKit.
- Skills in PostgreSQL database operations, including migration planning, backups, and performance tuning, preferably with AWS Aurora.
