About the Role
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our development environment, moving it toward Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by implementing CI/CD pipelines and facilitating the development team's adoption of DevOps methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and architect CI/CD pipelines tailored for the organization’s needs.
- Adapt quickly within an agile setting where requirements frequently evolve.
- Develop scripts for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations.
- Engage actively in team design deliberations.
- Support design and development efforts related to microservices connectivity.
- Collaborate closely with developers and testers, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Incorporate end-user feedback to consistently improve user experience.
- Compose and critique functional requirements, design, and system specification documents.
- Prepare quality mockups and prototypes to guide development.
- Enhance automation processes spanning from design phases through delivery.
- Work extensively in cloud environments, focusing on managed services and migrating applications to IaC frameworks.
- Commit to continuous learning to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Supervise, monitor, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for peak efficiency and resource utilization.
- Administer ELK stack, MongoDB, Redis, RDBMS, and other database systems.
- Implement strategies to lower cloud infrastructure expenses while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Oversee performance, availability, and security monitoring for all cloud resources and applications.
- Manage incident lifecycles effectively through logging, resolution, and post-incident analysis for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all systems and workflows comply with security standards and best industry practices.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams and conduct training sessions on DevOps tools and best practices.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in cloud deployment and establishing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficient with containerization technologies including Docker.
- Expertise in Kubernetes orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
- Experience managing managed services on Google Cloud platform (Google Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL) or AWS equivalents.
- Familiarity with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform and Google Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Experience working with microservices architecture using Spring Cloud.
- Advanced skills in automation through CI/CD pipelines and managing applications on cloud infrastructures.
