About the Role

Analog is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Infrastructure team based in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses on enhancing and evolving build, test, and deployment systems. You will architect scalable pipelines, reduce development cycle times, and elevate security and observability standards across deployment workflows. Collaborating closely with engineers company-wide, you will address technical stack challenges and streamline deployment processes to simplify shipping software.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for various microservices developed in Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, and Unity applications.
  • Develop reusable pipeline templates and workflows to reduce duplication across multiple repositories.
  • Incorporate security measures into delivery processes, including static and dynamic application security testing, dependency and secret scanning, and software bill of materials (SBOM) generation.
  • Enhance build efficiency through strategies such as caching and parallelization.
  • Refine release automation incorporating version control, approval workflows, database migrations, feature flag management, and release documentation.
  • Collaborate with developers to enhance the developer experience by providing local development parity, preview environments, pull request validations, and AI-powered workflow enhancements.
  • Implement monitoring and observability around pipelines and deployments utilizing metrics, logging, alerting, and dashboard tools.
  • Provide incident response support for deployment and release issues.
  • Continuously assess and adopt new tools and best practices to maintain a modern, efficient, and cost-effective delivery stack.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Developer Experience (DevEx), DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation, with solid skills in Bash plus one language such as Node.js, Go, or Python.
  • Extensive knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions for workflow automation.
  • Strong debugging abilities across continuous integration logs, build systems, and runtime environments.
  • Well-versed in containerization technologies, specifically Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, including expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform.

Additional Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with monorepo architectures and advanced build systems like Bazel, Nx, Turborepo, or Pants.
  • Administration exposure to GitHub Enterprise Server (self-hosted).
  • Administration experience with JFrog Artifactory and related tools.
  • Knowledge of supply chain security measures including SLSA, Sigstore, software provenance, signing, and attestations.
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
