Job description
Role Overview
Join us as a DevOps Engineer where you will contribute to building and maintaining blockchain networks and protocols. Your focus will be enhancing our current infrastructure with improvements in security, automation, and monitoring. You will explore new blockchain protocols, operate testnets, construct secure and scalable infrastructure, and ensure its ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust and secure infrastructure to monitor, identify, and resolve performance and security challenges.
- Conduct system administration tasks on Linux servers, including regular and proactive management to uphold health, stability, and uptime of system infrastructure.
- Develop and update procedural and technical documentation for systems.
- Keep abreast with and implement peer-to-peer network security best practices.
- Formulate, maintain, and communicate comprehensive threat models and risk assessments for all operational systems.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or infrastructure operations.
- Proficiency in programming with at least one language such as Python, GoLang, Bash, or JavaScript.
- Experience managing high-availability server infrastructures.
- Expertise in designing secure network architectures, system, and application frameworks.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing software in data center and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of networking layers, sockets, and Linux security principles.
- Knowledge of automation tools and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
- Experience using Docker, Kubernetes, and similar cloud deployment technologies.
- Ability to adapt, collaborate effectively, and work confidently in uncertain circumstances.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with blockchain technologies and the blockchain ecosystem.
- Understanding of cryptographic principles and security standards.
- Active contributions to open source projects or communities.
