Role Overview

We seek a DevOps Engineer with 3 to 8 years of experience to design, automate, and scale cloud infrastructure. This position is crucial for enhancing deployment reliability, system scalability, infrastructure security, and operational excellence. Collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Security teams is key to creating highly available, secure, and resilient infrastructure that supports millions of daily customer interactions. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about addressing infrastructure challenges, automating routine tasks, and developing dependable cloud-native systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Automating application deployment and release processes across development, staging, and production environments to maximize uptime and reduce manual efforts.
• Implementing automated testing and adherence to deployment best practices.
• Constructing and optimizing scalable AWS cloud infrastructure or other cloud providers, ensuring high availability, security, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency.
• Deployment and management of containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Handling infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation, including automation of provisioning and configuration.
• Maintaining version-controlled infrastructure configurations and monitoring systems employing CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, or similar.
• Monitoring infrastructure health, investigating production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and introducing preventive measures to enhance reliability.
• Implementing infrastructure security best practices covering IAM, VPC security, secrets management, and access controls, as well as ensuring secure deployment pipelines.
• Writing automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Shell to build internal tools that ease deployment, monitoring, infrastructure management, and operations.
• Collaborating with development teams to refine deployment processes, support infrastructure debugging, participate in design discussions, and contribute to documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2 to 8 years of practical experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure management.
• Proficiency with AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, ELB, Route53, Lambda, or equivalents.
• Experience with Git version control platforms like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Strong understanding and usage of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or GitLab CI.
• Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code frameworks including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Proven ability to implement monitoring and logging systems successfully.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Shell languages.
• Good command of Linux system administration and network fundamentals.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with message queue technologies such as Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Management experience with databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of Nginx, reverse proxies, load balancers, and API gateway implementations.
• Experience with service mesh and container orchestration technologies.
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator) are advantageous.
• Background in high-growth SaaS startup environments.
