Job description
Role Summary and Responsibilities
Dhruva Space is looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of the organization's infrastructure, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, deployment processes, system monitoring, and reliability management across its suite of products. This role extends to managing core database operations, security protocols, and cloud cost optimization in a streamlined development environment. The position also involves guiding junior DevOps team members and establishing scalable and repeatable platform practices.
- Architect and operate CI/CD pipelines along with cloud-based infrastructure for multiple products.
- Ensure platform stability, oversee uptime, manage production rollouts, and lead incident resolution.
- Handle foundational database administration tasks including backups, disaster recovery planning, and monitoring performance metrics.
- Develop and sustain systems for production monitoring, alerting, and enhancing observability.
- Optimize cloud expenditures and administer access controls, secrets management, and maintain security standards.
- Deploy infrastructure through code using tools like Terraform and enforce standardized deployment workflows.
- Oversee containerized environments leveraging Kubernetes or comparable orchestrators.
- Create, update, and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and recovery strategies.
- Guide and manage associate level DevOps and platform engineers effectively.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, and architecture teams to fulfill infrastructure and deployment needs.
- Design and implement platform workflows that will support growth into DBA, NOC, and other specialized teams.
- Provide support for infrastructure handling AI, machine learning, and agent-driven workloads when required.
Candidate Qualifications
- Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- Brings 8 to 12 years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, or associated roles.
- Expertise in hands-on management of CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code techniques, with a preference for Terraform or similar frameworks.
- Proficient with Kubernetes and container orchestration technologies as well as cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Working knowledge of database operations including backup strategies, disaster recovery, and performance tuning principles.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, access permissions, secrets management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of managing production incidents and ensuring system reliability.
- Ability to function as a versatile infrastructure generalist in a lean engineering setting.
- Strong leadership qualities including mentorship, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Previous experience supporting infrastructure for AI/ML or agent-runtime workloads is advantageous.
