Job description

Role Overview

We seek a versatile DevOps Engineer / Cloud Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, managing, and refining scalable cloud infrastructure alongside automated software delivery systems. This role blends cloud technology expertise, infrastructure management, automation, deployment, system monitoring, and robust security practices to ensure high reliability and efficient technological operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment workflows, govern infrastructure configurations, and enhance application delivery processes. Additional duties include troubleshooting deployment challenges, promoting operational efficiency, designing and managing cloud-based infrastructures encompassing services, networks, storage, and compute resources, facilitating cloud migration efforts, optimizing resource usage, overseeing system monitoring and backups, ensuring scalability and availability, and aligning infrastructure setups with security and technical specifications. Responsibilities further extend to automation of infrastructure, performance evaluation, incident resolution, documentation maintenance, disaster recovery planning, and facilitating the adoption of contemporary cloud and DevOps solutions such as containerization and infrastructure as code.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Robust understanding of cloud computing principles including infrastructure, networking, virtualization, and storage.
  • Experience or knowledge with major cloud service providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalents.
  • Comprehension of CI/CD principles and familiarity with related automation tools.
  • Knowledge and use of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows server operating systems, including administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid foundation in networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Acquaintance with monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management solutions.
  • Awareness of cloud security practices, access control mechanisms, backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Skills in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or related languages).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on infrastructure stability and security.
  • A proactive attitude towards automation, cloud tech advancements, DevOps methodology, system optimization, and continuous enhancement.
