Job description

Overview

We are seeking a proactive DevOps Engineer who is quick to learn and capable of independent work. While support will be available, the ideal candidate must be resourceful and determined in resolving challenges and navigating new environments. This consulting role involves engaging with diverse clients across various sectors, primarily focusing on AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure automation.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, architects, and project managers to deploy and manage applications.
  • Establish and administer Development, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Oversee release management and deployment processes across different environments.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, mainly utilizing GitLab CI and other DevOps tools.
  • Automate deployment workflows for containerized and microservices architectures.
  • Leverage AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and native cloud tools to fulfill infrastructure and deployment needs.
  • Develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Produce documentation and standard operating procedures for deployment and operational processes.
  • Investigate, recommend, and apply best practices in DevOps, automation, and infrastructure management.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to deployments and infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

  • Must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents; visa sponsorship unavailable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
  • Experience ranging from fresh graduate up to 3 years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or related fields.
  • Practical expertise with AWS cloud platform services.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based environments.
  • Experience crafting CI/CD pipelines and utilizing automation tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Comfortable working within Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems.
  • Proficient in scripting to automate deployment and operational tasks.
  • Strong analytical abilities combined with effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Capable of working autonomously in a dynamic consulting atmosphere.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems.
  • Knowledge of Docker and orchestration of containers.
  • Exposure to Government Cloud environments.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS or Microsoft Azure.
