Job description

Role Overview

Platinum Developers is looking for an experienced and driven Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This full-time position involves leading the entire development cycle for medium density and land projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee every phase of development including feasibility assessments, obtaining planning approvals, managing design, construction, and project handover processes.
  • Engage with a variety of internal teams and external partners such as architects, contractors, officials, and project collaborators to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Track project milestones, prepare progress reports, and proactively identify and mitigate risks.
  • Work collaboratively with broader teams to uncover new development prospects and support business expansion.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven background in property development or managing real estate projects from inception to handover, particularly in residential developments.
  • Expertise in performing feasibility analyses, financial forecasting, and strict budget management related to development ventures.
  • Familiarity with Melbourne and Victoria’s planning regulations, approval processes, and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership capabilities for managing cross-functional teams comprising architects, planners, engineers, and contractors.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills to act as the company’s representative.
  • Experience in risk analysis, effective problem solving, and decisive action in dynamic environments.
  • Relevant higher education qualifications in property development, construction management, urban planning, engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • Competency with project management software and common office applications; knowledge of real estate development platforms is a plus.
  • Dedication to safe work environments, sustainable development practices, and delivering superior outcomes for diverse communities.
