Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Communications & Development Manager to oversee our Communications Department and contribute to building a coordinated, innovative, and efficient team. This leadership role requires the ability to manage personnel, develop systems, and convert strategies into operational actions. The successful candidate will supervise a multidisciplinary team engaged in communications, creative media, digital content, and grant management, ensuring tasks are well-organized, synchronized, and completed on schedule.

The role also entails supporting Honeyguide's fundraising efforts by facilitating donor communications, conducting grant research, and assisting with proposal writing as needed. Candidates with curiosity and experience in AI and digital tools will be highly valued to help the team experiment with innovative technologies, optimize workflows, foster knowledge sharing, and identify effective practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Development Studies, Wildlife Management, Conservation, Knowledge Management, or a related discipline.
• Candidates from conservation, development, or technical backgrounds must demonstrate strong communication, management, and research skills to be considered.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in communications, knowledge management, fundraising support, policy, development, or related fields.
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience managing or coordinating teams.
• Proven track record managing multiple projects and meeting competing deadlines.
• Experience in nonprofit, conservation, development, research, or similar sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with donor communications, grant processes, and fundraising is advantageous.
• Interest or practical involvement with AI and digital tools to enhance communication efficiency.
