Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our Kolkata office. This role requires immediate joining and involves hands-on technical support within an office environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and configure Windows 10 and 11 desktops and laptops.
- Integrate desktops and laptops into the domain and configure user profiles accordingly.
- Install and configure standard applications, including MS Office, mail clients like MS Outlook and Lotus Notes, antivirus and security software such as CrowdStrike, and specific business applications like SAP client.
- Provide Business As Usual (BAU) application support for the installed software.
- Manage user accounts by coordinating with the ITSS team for creation, deletion, and transfer of mailboxes and Active Directory (AD) IDs, including logging requests in the ITC Service Desk system.
- Verify and manage user group memberships, including creation and deletion, in collaboration with group owners.
- Handle unlocking of user Active Directory accounts, password resets, and coordination with central Active Directory and Local Network teams.
- Apply basic network knowledge to diagnose and resolve initial network issues, coordinating with the ITSS network team on WAN-related problems.
- Set up video conferencing room equipment and manage coordination related to it.
- Supervise LAN switches and work closely with Network Engineers to escalate and follow up on LAN-related issues with vendors, ensuring timely resolution for Distribution Operations, Branches, and Warehouses.
