Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair desktop and laptop computers, ensuring smooth IT operations. This role involves both store-based and field support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops and laptops.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems along with necessary drivers and common software applications.
- Set up and manage local area networks, including router configuration, IP address allocation, network sharing setup, and cable crimping tasks.
- Install and maintain peripherals such as printers, CCTV systems, and biometric devices.
- Deliver support services through in-store presence, remote assistance, and on-site visits to clients.
Experience and Work Conditions
- Minimum professional experience required: 3 years in desktop support or related IT roles.
- Work schedule: Monday to Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
- Work distribution involves approximately 70% in-store technical support and 30% local travel for field visits.
