Design Sales Consultant

Opulent Decor by Haryana Handlooms believes that helping customers furnish their homes is more than selling products; it's guiding them to the best choices. We're seeking a Design Sales Consultant specializing in home furnishings who blends design insight with excellent sales and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage visitors in the showroom, understanding their home, preferences, budget, and lifestyle.
• Identify true customer needs beyond their initial requests and clearly explain various furnishing and décor solutions.
• Recommend suitable fabrics, colors, patterns, and products, providing complete home furnishing solutions tailored to the customer's budget and style.
• Assist customers both with and without interior designers in selecting appropriate décor elements like curtains, upholstery, blinds, carpets, wallpapers, flooring, and bed and bath products.
• Convert showroom inquiries and walk-ins into confirmed sales, prepare quotations, and maintain follow-up to meet monthly sales targets.
• Recognize upselling and cross-selling chances, nurture repeat business, and build lasting relationships with customers, architects, and interior designers.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to assess conditions, take measurements, and suggest furnishing solutions coordinated with internal teams for smooth execution.
• Maintain consistent communication during the sales process, follow up on orders and pending decisions, and foster strong connections with industry influencers to generate referrals.
• Collaborate effectively with showroom, design, stitching, installation, and backend teams to ensure seamless order delivery and customer satisfaction.

Candidate Profile

• An earnest interest or prior experience in interior design, home décor, textiles, or furnishings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a keen aesthetic sense for colors, fabrics, and materials.
• Consultative sales approach with solid customer management skills and confidence to engage premium clientele.
• Ability to understand budgets, perform site visits, follow up persistently, close sales, and work independently taking full ownership.

Preferred Backgrounds

• Interior Design, Textile Design, Fashion/Textile, Home Décor, Furnishing, Furniture, Curtains & Blinds, Wallpaper, Flooring, Mattress, Lifestyle Retail, Interior Sales, or Design Consultancy.
• Sales professionals experienced with furnishing, home décor, furniture, or interior product companies are highly encouraged to apply.

Salary

This position offers a monthly compensation ranging between INR 20,000 and 35,000.
