Role Overview

We are in search of a Design Manager to lead and oversee our interior design operations, ensuring project delivery from initial concepts through production and installation phases with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team and daily design activities effectively.
• Evaluate and authorize design concepts, layouts, 3D visualizations, and technical drawings.
• Assure all designs align with client needs, company benchmarks, and project requirements.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Review AutoCAD and production drawings before production submission to ensure accuracy in drawings, dimensions, materials, and specifications.
• Collaborate closely with production and installation departments to resolve design and technical challenges during manufacturing and installation.
• Understand client requirements fully and propose appropriate design solutions, attending client meetings and presentations as needed.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, site teams, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
• Perform site visits and support the team in addressing site-related design issues.
• Review and approve 3D models and realistic renderings prepared by the design team.
• Advise designers on materials, finishes, colors, hardware, and detailing to ensure practicality and functionality for production.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or an associated discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of pertinent experience in interior design, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, doors, or interior fit-out projects.
• Current residence in Qatar.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Familiarity with Enscape or comparable rendering software is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery details, materials, hardware, and manufacturing requirements.
• Capability to review technical drawings and identify design or technical issues.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving aptitude.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet established deadlines.
• Availability to join immediately or on short notice is favorable.
• Possession of NOC/transfer eligibility is a plus.

Preferred Background

Experience specifically in customized kitchens, wardrobes, doors, joinery, or interior fit-out is highly advantageous.
