Job description
Role Overview
The Design Estimation Engineer will be responsible for creating electrical control and power panels tailored to project specifications, adhering strictly to applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop LT/LV electrical panels including PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, VFD, and distribution panels in line with manufacturing standards.
- Possess thorough knowledge of electrical components such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, current transformers, meters, and protective relays for low voltage systems.
- Perform busbar sizing, short-circuit and cable sizing calculations and select proper components accordingly.
- Interpret and prepare single line diagrams (SLD) and detailed control wiring schematics.
- Understand panel construction factors including IP ratings, cable routing, form of separation, and mounting of components within panels.
- Follow IEC and IS standards related to low voltage switchgear and panel assemblies.
- Analyze customer requirements and technical datasheets to ensure compliance and appropriate design.
- Offer technical assistance during installation and resolve troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation and adhere to revision control processes.
Candidate Profile
- Graduation in Electrical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) or an equivalent diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Strong expertise in industrial electrical systems and control circuit design.
- Experienced with CAD design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Insta-Quote or equivalents.
- Thorough understanding of electrical safety protocols and regulatory standards.
