Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Design & Estimation Engineer with expertise in fire and security systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering and be skilled in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) along with detailed project cost estimations. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders are essential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate BOQs and comprehensive project estimations.
- Support the planning and execution phases of projects.
- Manage stakeholder communications through effective negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Proven experience in designing and estimating fire and security systems is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of fire alarm, fire fighting, and fire suppression systems.
- Familiarity with estimation and costing methodologies.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for design and estimation purposes.
- Understanding of National Building Code (NBC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and Indian Standards (IS) codes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to efficiently manage project activities.
