Job description
Position Overview
This permanent full-time Deputy Principal role at Rangiora High School, located 30 minutes north of Christchurch, is available from 28 January 2027. The school is a large co-educational state institution. The vacancy arises due to the current Deputy Principal being promoted to Principalship.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary educational leadership implementing the New Zealand Curriculum to effectively meet diverse student needs through inclusive, equitable, and relevant practices that define clear pathways for future learning, training, and employment.
- Collaborate strategically and nurture high-performing teams by leading through example and inspiring colleagues.
- Champion and manage organizational cultural change while upholding and promoting the school's values, culture, and dedication to educational excellence.
- Communicate openly and honestly, fostering positive relationships with students, staff, whānau, and the broader community.
- Commit to restorative practices and culturally responsive approaches within the school environment.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Te Ao Māori perspectives and values.
- Express strong aspiration to progress into a principalship role in the future.
