Role Summary

The Deployed Engineer (DE) is a pivotal customer-oriented technical role responsible for optimizing customer experience and adoption of Devin, Cognition's AI software engineer. This role involves technical leadership during the pre-sales phase, including building persuasive product demonstrations and managing pilots. Collaboration with client engineering teams is essential to select suitable Devin use cases. Beyond initial deployment, the DE will design and facilitate ongoing training programs to enable widespread utilization of Devin among client engineering teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the entire technical customer engagement lifecycle—from deployment to active product use—ensuring client success with Devin.
• Partner with clients to comprehend their technical needs and pinpoint the optimal scenarios where Devin can add value.
• Develop and nurture strong relationships with customer engineering teams to guarantee seamless integration and sustained product adoption, encouraging frequent use.
• Actively listen to customer feedback, prioritize implementing feature requests personally, and advocate for client needs within the internal team.
• Serve as the internal customer expert, applying product insight to shape and influence the product development roadmap.

Required Qualifications and Traits

• Educational background in a STEM discipline.
• Proven experience successfully deploying enterprise software in go-to-market or forward deployed engineering settings.
• Exceptional communication skills with a capacity to discuss complex technical concepts clearly with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Comfort and adaptability in fast-evolving, ambiguous environments, with readiness to grow in responsibility swiftly.
• Strong capacity and enthusiasm for rapid learning.
