Role Overview
As a Dentist at The Smile Company, you will be responsible for delivering complete dental care that includes patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and executing preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dental treatments. Typical daily tasks involve procedures such as fillings, root canal treatments, crowns and bridges, extractions, periodontal therapies, and routine dental cleanings according to your competency and training. Your duties will also involve educating patients about oral hygiene, discussing treatment plans, maintaining detailed clinical documentation, and collaborating closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient service.
The position requires strict compliance with clinical and infection control protocols, active participation in clinical case discussions, and supporting efforts to continually elevate practice standards. This is a full-time position based onsite in Bengaluru.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Graduation with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent higher dental degree from a recognized institution along with a valid license or registration to practice dentistry within the jurisdiction.
- Proven clinical competence in diagnosis, treatment planning, and carrying out general dental procedures including preventive, restorative, basic endodontic, and prosthodontic treatments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection control policies, sterilization procedures, and clinical safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain treatment options and deliver patient-focused care across diverse age groups and backgrounds.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software, digital imaging technology, and other contemporary dental instruments.
- Strong attention to detail complemented by effective record-keeping and time-management capabilities to efficiently manage a consistent patient workload.
- Commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with evolving dental procedures, guidelines, and contributing actively within a collaborative team setting.
Additional Information
Candidates with prior clinical dental practice exposure are preferred; however, newly licensed graduates demonstrating solid clinical training and eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.
