About the Role
Join Kā te Rama Switched On Group's Switched On Housing team as a Delivery Supervisor on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2027. This role involves hands-on management of residential maintenance projects from initial scope through to completion. You will collaborate closely with Kāinga Ora, subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and meet high-quality standards. Expect varied days combining on-site presence and administrative oversight, managing multiple priorities, resolving issues in real-time, and cultivating strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and scope repair and maintenance tasks across Kāinga Ora housing properties.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and tradespeople throughout project execution.
- Oversee site activities to ensure jobs comply with safety regulations, efficiency benchmarks, and specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and authorize completed work.
- Maintain rigorous adherence to Health & Safety protocols on site.
- Keep detailed records of jobs, documentation, and invoicing.
- Forge and sustain effective working relationships with customers, Kāinga Ora representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Contribute to meeting contract performance targets and delivering positive customer outcomes.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience supervising, coordinating, or working in residential maintenance, construction, or trade-related roles.
- Capability to handle multiple concurrent jobs and competing priorities efficiently.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and sound decision-making under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for relationship building with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service excellence.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards relevant to construction and maintenance environments.
