Job Overview

We are seeking motivated Delivery Drivers to join our team in Syosset, NY. This role involves the timely transport and delivery of automotive parts using a company-provided vehicle. A key aspect of the position is maintaining strong relationships with customers and providing excellent service. The hourly wage is $17.00.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, carry, and deliver automotive parts to customers or businesses punctually and courteously.
• Verify order completeness and accuracy before and after delivery, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow directions from the dispatcher, adhere to prescribed routes and schedules, utilize navigation tools, and optimize delivery routes.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods without disrupting customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and manage complaints professionally.
• Comply with all transportation regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
• Manage payments and paperwork including invoices, return forms, and reconcile all funds related to deliveries.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on the company vehicle and report any issues to management.
• Support warehouse or store tasks like stocking or parts pulling as assigned.
• Maintain safety protocols and secure any cash or assets during delivery operations.

Qualifications

• Possess a current and valid driver’s license.
• Meet company insurance prerequisites; applicants must be aged 21 or older.
• Have valid personal automobile insurance with your name listed.
• Be physically able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds (up to 75 pounds for collision parts drivers) and endure prolonged sitting periods.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to manage and reconcile monetary transactions and customer balances.
• Familiarity and comfort using tablets or mobile devices for navigation, tracking, and digital signature capture.
• Strong verbal communication skills, including professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
• Effective team player capable of following instructions and collaborating with others.
• Preferably flexible to work overtime when needed.
• Previous experience in delivery driving is advantageous.
