Job Overview
Join our team at HSL Logistics Centre in Reading as a Delivery Driver, offering a competitive wage of £12.96 per hour. This full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week without night or weekend shifts, focusing on delivering excellent service and enhancing customers' home comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide premium, white-glove delivery including furniture assembly such as chairs, sofas, and beds.
- Deliver multiple consignments daily while ensuring a seamless installation process.
- Safeguard the customers' homes and furniture during delivery and assembly.
- Collaborate with warehouse and delivery teams to efficiently load and unload items.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
- Manage scheduling and coordinate deliveries effectively.
- Perform quality inspection of products and packaging before delivery.
- Be a positive ambassador for HSL customer service, ensuring every customer feels uniquely valued.
Requirements
- Possession of a full driving licence.
- A friendly and caring personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work overtime flexibly when needed.
- Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn; previous experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Completion of a satisfactory DBS check is mandatory for this customer-facing role.
