Deli Associate

Overview

Responsibilities include maintaining the deli department, executing stock management, and supporting the sale of deli merchandise.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organized zones within the deli department.
• Manage stock rotation and monitor product expiry to ensure quality.
• Ensure all deli merchandise is accurately signed and priced.
• Follow strict guidelines related to cold chain compliance, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food safety handling, stock rotation, sell-by and expiration dates.
• Process customer orders in the deli including slicing and preparing meats, cheeses, fried chicken, and other deli items using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers.
• Assist front-end associates with price verifications as needed.
• Prepare specialty deli food orders, including salads and side dishes, ensuring they are ready for display and customer requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of deli area, ensuring it remains free from debris, unnecessary fixtures, foreign objects, and spills.

Compensation

The starting wage for the Deli Associate position is $16.45 per hour.
