Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Deli Associate is an excellent opportunity to enhance your experience within the retail sector. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart’s core principles, managing the deli section, assisting with inventory stocking, and supporting sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the deli area efficiently.
• Manage product rotation and ensure removal of expired goods.
• Maintain accurate price labeling and merchandise signage.
• Follow procedures for food safety including cold chain compliance, temperature monitoring, and proper handling of products based on sell-by and expiry dates.
• Take and prepare customer orders including slicing meats, cheese, fried chicken, and other deli products using appropriate equipment.
• Assist front-end associates with price verifications.
• Prepare deli products such as salads and side dishes and manage specialty orders as requested by customers.
• Ensure work area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards or debris.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.

Minimum Criteria

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
