About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Decorator Operator to join Visy's Beverage Cans facility in Wiri, Auckland. This permanent role involves working on a rotating shift pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off, featuring two day shifts (7am to 7pm) followed by two night shifts (7pm to 7am). You will be instrumental in operating and maintaining the Can Decorator machine, focusing on producing high-quality products, maximizing machine reliability, minimizing downtime, and upholding safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant equipment to ensure efficient production within manufacturing specifications and maximize output.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the entire plant and processes, leading troubleshooting efforts proactively.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce disruptions and enhance efficiency.
- Undertake designated projects related to planned or ongoing maintenance challenges.
- Maintain consistent adherence to employment, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Printing Trade qualification or similar printing certification.
- Demonstrate experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
- Have knowledge and hands-on experience with offset printing, which is highly advantageous.
- Show strong commitment to workplace safety and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
- Exhibit a proactive approach and eagerness to learn.
- Experience with rotating shift work and a forklift license are desirable.
