Role Overview
The Deburr Technician position is newly created to support the manufacturing of aerospace-grade precision components at the Hollywood, Alabama Engineering Test Center. This role involves meticulous polishing and deburring of parts to facilitate technology development projects alongside engineers and technicians. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting machine setup documentation and applying deburring techniques within a machine shop environment.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must have at least four years of hands-on experience in deburring and polishing, with familiarity in operating typical manufacturing tools and working with diverse materials such as plastics, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys. Strong communication skills are essential to collaborate effectively with team members.
Additional Qualifications
- US Citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality management protocols
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably Cetec
- Background in aerospace hardware and process improvement alongside machinists
Work Location
The position requires onsite presence at the Hollywood, Alabama Engineering Test Center, near the company's headquarters in Huntsville.
